Straightened Arrows Club News
07/15 - On Saturday July 24th , Straightened Arrows Archery Club of Defiance, Ohio (a faith based non-profit organization) and The Ohio Department of Natural Recourses will hold “Outdoor Youth Experience”, an open to the public 30 target 3-D archery shooting event. At this special shoot, anyone that brings a child 17 or under will get to shoot at no charge, as well as anyone 17 and under shoots FREE! Also this day all the concessions are at no cost. So, if you have never tried archery and would like to here is your opportunity. We also have a limited amount of FREE equipment for anyone to use if you don’t have any. Sign in anytime between 8 am and 1pm.

06/04 - LEAGUE UPDATE #2 - Due to heavy rains league shooting the week of 5/23 was cancelled. The league will be extended by one week to the week of 6/27-7/1.
04/07 - LEAGUE UPDATE - the league will be shooting only the 3D animals, the foam targets are not stopping arrows as well as expected.
03/28 - Today we opened the 3D season with a 40 target course and 107 men, women and children attended, with all having a great time. The weather was a bit chilly at the start, but ended up very nice. Talking to many of the shooters we noticed many were coming from rather far off ( 2 hours was the farthest ) and also many new faces were showing up. I spoke to a gentleman that hadn’t shot a 3D shoot in over 17 years. He started attending church and didn’t have time or desire to shoot on Sunday’s any longer. He was very happy to have the opportunity to get back into shooting without compromising his decision to attend church on Sundays by attending our club. This is the exact reason this club was started back in 2002. I had that same experience and wanted to start shooting on Saturdays. It is encouraging to see that our club is helping others get back to the sport with our unique approach to traditional shooting dates and times.
